Carmarthenshire Youth Council (CYC) is open to all young people in Carmarthenshire. It is an opportunity for young voices to be heard on a wider platform and enables young people to engage with political matters and with topics that directly impact them.

Responsibilities
- Participate in decision making processes
- Representing young people across Carmarthenshire
- Being a voice for young people
- Bring about positive change
- Create opportunities for other young people to be involved in decision making
- Interviewing county staff who want to work in Children or Youth Work
- Debate issues at a local, national and global level
- Be actively involved in, and educate other about, democracy and citizenship
