Carmarthenshire Youth Council (CYC) is open to all young people in Carmarthenshire. It is an opportunity for young voices to be heard on a wider platform and enables young people to engage with political matters and with topics that directly impact them.

Responsibilities

  •        Participate in decision making processes
  •        Representing young people across Carmarthenshire
  •        Being a voice for young people
  •        Bring about positive change
  •        Create opportunities for other young people to be involved in decision making
  •       Interviewing county staff who want to work in Children or Youth Work
  •        Debate issues at a local, national and global level
  •        Be actively involved in, and educate other about, democracy and citizenship
