Join our team as a Gardening Assistant and help maintain and enhance our beautiful gardens community wellbeing garden.
Role: Gardening Assistant
Location: Wellbeing Garden
Start Date: 5th August 2024
Time: 1 pm – 3 pm
Responsibilities
- Performing garden maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, weeding, and watering.
- Assisting in the growing and nurturing of plants, flowers, and trees.
- Operating simple electric power tools and hand tools for garden maintenance.
- Ensuring the garden's appearance is well-maintained.
What you’ll need
- A can-do attitude and excellent customer service skills.
- Willingness to go the extra mile for our customers.
- Responsibility and reliability.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, varied environment.
- Good team player.
- Preferably, previous experience in a customer-facing role, but this is not essential if you have the right attitude.
Skills you will gain
Volunteers will gain or develop the following skills:
- Maintenance Techniques: Proficiency in and learning of various garden maintenance techniques.
- Plant Care: Knowledge of plant care and growing practices.
- Tool Proficiency: Experience (or a desire to learn) in using power tools and hand tools for gardening tasks.
- Customer Interaction: Being smartly turned out, presentable, and confident among clients.
